Jersey Cheshire Home has announced that three of its residents will participate in this year’s Battle of Flowers parade. Stanley Baudains, Irene Hamon, and Dina De Jesus will showcase their beautifully decorated electric wheelchairs, all themed around “Party Time at Jersey Cheshire Home.”

The excitement continues as these residents will also take part in the magical moonlight parade on Saturday, August 10th. Their wheelchairs will be adorned with twinkling lights and glow-in-the-dark decorations, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The Battle of Flowers is one of Jersey’s most awaited annual events, attracting thousands of spectators each year. This year, Jersey Cheshire Home aims to highlight the creativity and spirit of its residents through this event.

To make this vision a reality, Jersey Cheshire Home is looking for creative volunteers to help decorate the wheelchairs. Volunteers will have the opportunity to collaborate with residents, share ideas, and assist in the decoration process.

Donna Abel, the CEO, expressed her excitement about the initiative. “We are incredibly proud of our residents who are participating in the Battle of Flowers parade. This event is a wonderful platform to showcase their creativity and promote inclusivity within our community. We look forward to cheering them on along the Avenue as they join in the festivities,” she said.
