PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Gardeners and plant enthusiasts from across the Gulf Coast will have the chance to showcase their camellias at the 86th Annual Camellia Show & Plant Sale, hosted by the Pensacola Camellia Club. The event is scheduled for December 14 at the WSRE Jean and Paul Amos Studio, located at 1000 College Blvd. in Pensacola.
Event Schedule:
Bloom Preparation: 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Judging: 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Public Viewing: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The show is open to camellia growers from the five Gulf Coast states, offering both experienced and new growers a chance to compete. There will be two main categories for blooms: those grown in greenhouses and those grown outdoors. Camellia flowers come in a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes, making the competition exciting and diverse.
The event is open to all camellia growers, whether they have one plant or hundreds. There will also be a special category for novice growers, allowing newcomers to compete for prizes.
