EPCOT is getting ready for the 2025 Flower & Garden Festival with exciting new additions. Among them are the Morocco Spice Garden and updates to the Phineas and Ferb topiaries.
Butterfly Landing Tent
Construction is complete on the Butterfly Landing tent, located near shimmering waters and surrounded by green fencing. A rectangular structure covered in tarps sits within a grassy area, with trees and a metallic structure in the background. The green scrims still cover the area, preserving the surprise for festival-goers and keeping visitors out until the official opening.
Inside the Butterfly Landing tent, vibrant flowers and a netted area evoke the charm of a Morocco Spice Garden. The space features birdhouse-style boxes to house caterpillars as they transform into butterflies. While no butterflies were observed during our visit, they may soon appear.
CommuniCore Plaza Flowerbed
In early February, EPCOT started setting up a new floral display at CommuniCore Plaza. Now, the area is blooming with bright flowers in yellow, purple, and orange. Visitors can enjoy the view of flowers shaped like butterflies and large blooms, best appreciated from the bridge across the water. This new addition adds a colorful charm to the festival, with more flowers expected to bloom as the event approaches.
Phineas and Ferb Topiary Garden Update
The Phineas and Ferb topiaries have undergone some changes, with three new pink flower topiaries added to the vibrant garden behind the characters. The topiaries, made of pink plastic petals with green shrubbery centers, complement the smaller pink flowers planted around them, adding more vibrancy to the space.
Morocco Spice Garden
A new garden is now open in the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT. Located near the restrooms, this Spice Garden features plants and flowers traditionally used as spices, many of which are found in the nearby pavilion’s restaurants. The garden is surrounded by a low fence, with tall decorative pots and lampposts accentuating the space. A stone bench invites visitors to relax and enjoy the vibrant display.
Other Topiaries and Exhibits
Other topiaries already installed at EPCOT include Donald Duck and his nephews, Elsa with a new cape, and Peter Pan battling Captain Hook. Goofy is also part of the World Celebration display, surrounded by new dandelion sculptures.
The 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival will run from March 5 to June 2. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the festival, and several pieces of merchandise will feature the number 30 to celebrate.
