As the temperatures rise this March, it’s important for gardeners to know the optimal time to water their plants to keep their gardens thriving. Contrary to common belief, watering in the morning may not always be the best choice.
Many gardeners assume that the best time to water is early in the day, but plant expert Tom Knight, founder of Our Houseplants, explains that watering at night can actually have its advantages. If you’ve been busy during the day or simply enjoy a morning lie-in, rest assured, evening watering is a perfectly fine option.
Knight shared that the idea of watering only in the morning has extended from garden care to indoor plants as well, but there’s more flexibility than you might think.
