Spring came alive in full bloom as the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) brought the joy of gardening and healthy eating to the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll.
With baskets full of fresh carrots and colorful flowers, this year’s event turned the South Lawn into a celebration of nature’s gifts.
The Easter Egg Roll, a treasured tradition since 1878, is hosted by the President and First Lady and takes place on the lush lawns of the White House.
This year, over 40,000 children and their families were expected to join in the springtime fun, surrounded by blossoms, vegetables, and creativity.
“The Easter Egg Roll is a perfect moment to introduce families to fresh, healthy snacks and the beauty of seasonal florals,” said IFPA CEO Cathy Burns.
“It’s not just a party—it’s a chance to show how produce plays a big role in healthy living and how flowers can brighten our lives.”
As part of the festivities, the IFPA set up hands-on gardening experiences for families. Kids got to plant their very own carrot seeds, create cheerful bouquets at the “Bloom Bar,” and snack on sweet baby carrots, all while learning how plants grow and why fresh food matters.
Thanks to the support of many generous growers and florists, the event was filled with garden goodness. Grimmway Produce Group shared thousands of crunchy carrots, while bright blooms came from top floral companies like Sunshine Bouquet, Passion Growers, and Mellano and Company.
Even the floral sleeves were specially designed and donated by Decowraps to add an extra splash of color.
The logistics magic was handled by Armellini Logistics and Keany Produce & Gourmet, who made sure everything—from roots to petals—arrived fresh and ready for the big day.
For the IFPA, this event is more than just a spring gathering. It’s part of their mission to help families connect with healthy, garden-fresh foods and flowers. Through carrots, bouquets, and hands-in-the-dirt fun, they showed how gardening can plant the seeds of wellness and joy.
