Botanical Extravaganza Adorns 66th Annual Grammy Awards Red Carpet

While Miley Cyrus claimed her well-deserved accolades for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performer at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, the entire red carpet was an equally stunning spectacle, adorned with an array of vibrant flowers courtesy of botanical artist Tu Bloom and his dedicated design team.

Teaming up for the fifth consecutive year, Suntory Flowers and Bloom collaborated to transform the Grammy Awards red carpet into a floral masterpiece. Notable additions to this year’s botanical display were the striking BluOcean chrysanthemums from Florigene, a division of Suntory Flowers based in South America. Bloom and his team marveled at the genuinely vivid blues and purples these flowers brought to the ensemble. Additionally, the perennial favorite, Florigene’s vivid purple Moon carnations, known for their exceptional vase life, were once again a centerpiece of the design.

The planter bases, filled with locally grown Senetti Blue Bicolor Improved plants from Armstrong Growers, contributed to what Bloom describes as an “outstanding, uniform crop.” The incorporation of Wave petunias from PanAmerican Seed showcased Bloom’s expertise in seamlessly blending bedding plants into floral arrangements.

Despite facing the challenges of high winds and heavy rains, Bloom’s design studio, situated in a truck parking area outside the LA Convention Center, successfully brought the botanical vision to life. Over 26 large arrangements graced the red carpet, complemented by smaller, meticulously crafted bouquets for various event areas. Red roses acted as the unifying element, tying the blues and purples to the crimson carpet.

Responding to a request from the media center for something blue to align with sponsor FIJI Water, Bloom ingeniously fashioned an arrangement featuring BluOcean chrysanthemums, lilies, blue roses, and Senetti Blue Bicolor plants. Music industry VIPs were treated to a Senetti plant in their Chicago Bloom swag bags, adding a touch of botanical elegance to their Grammy experience. The fusion of artistry and nature on the red carpet marked yet another memorable collaboration between Suntory Flowers and Tu Bloom at the Grammy Awards.
