The eagerly awaited annual Spring Plant Sale hosted by the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens is on the horizon. Scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 12, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, the event will be held at Parking Lot 5, conveniently located off Martin Village Road.
Prior to the public sale, stewards of the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens, along with members of the campus community, are cordially invited to a “pre-sale” event running from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 11. This exclusive opportunity offers a 10% discount on purchases.
Highlighted as the gardens’ premier event of the year, the Spring Plant Sale promises an extensive selection to cater to gardening enthusiasts. Attendees can explore a diverse array of offerings including native wildflowers, plants attracting butterflies and hummingbirds, azaleas, hydrangeas, fruiting shrubs, ferns, vibrant annuals, distinctive ornamental and native trees and shrubs, carnivorous plants, banana plants, elephant ears, succulents, herbs, and heirloom vegetables.
Knowledgeable staff from the Botanical Gardens will be on hand throughout the event to provide guidance and answer queries. Proceeds generated from the sale will contribute to supporting the ongoing operations of the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens.
