San Antonio, TX – As April 26 approaches, San Antonio gears up for the Battle of Flowers holiday, marking the ninth day of Fiesta celebrations. To keep everyone engaged, Fiesta will broadcast the parade coverage on KSAT 12 and all digital platforms starting at 10:30 a.m.
Here’s a rundown of the events scheduled for the ninth day of Fiesta 2024:
10th Street River Festival: Join the festivities at VFW Post 76, the oldest post in Texas, for a family-oriented event featuring live entertainment, dancing, camaraderie, food, and drinks. The festival, aimed at supporting various veteran and community-wide projects, promises a safe environment for combat veterans. Free admission. Noon to midnight. Location: VFW Post 76, 10 Tenth St.
Alamo Area Square and Round Association Fiesta Dance: Get ready for an evening of fun, entertainment, and exercise at the Tri-Point YMCA, presented by the Alamo Area Square and Round Dance Association. Dancers can groove from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., with admission priced at $10; non-dancers enter for free. Location: Tri-Point YMCA, 3233 N. St. Mary’s St.
Annual Fiesta Exhibit: “Wonders of Space” at The Witte Museum: Delve into the magic and mystery of space with the Fiesta exhibit showcasing celestial scenes on Order of the Alamo coronation robes. Witness decades of Fiesta celebrations depicted through intricate sparkling gowns and trains. Access included with standard admission. Exhibition runs from April 6 to September 30. Battle of Flowers Parade: Don’t miss the nation’s only parade produced entirely by volunteer women. With over 45,000 parade seats sold by charities along the route, this event provides nonprofit organizations with fundraising opportunities. This year’s theme, “Viva Amor 2024,” will be celebrated as the parade kicks off at 9:55 a.m., with the main event starting at 10:30 a.m. Location: Route starts at North Main Street near San Antonio College and ends on Santa Rosa near West Martin Street.
Fiesta Artisan Show: Explore the beauty of the River Walk while shopping at over 40 artisan booths offering pottery, textiles, jewelry, woodwork, paintings, beadwork, and more. Open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Location: River Walk, 849 E. Commerce St.
Fiesta Carnival: Experience thrilling rides and a variety of food options at Alamodome Parking Lot C from noon to midnight throughout Fiesta. Location: Alamodome Parking Lot C, 100 Montana St.
Fiesta De Los Reyes: Enjoy live music, food, art, merchandise, and more at Market Square, featuring performances by Gary Hobbs and Augie Meyers on April 26. Fiesta Gartenfest: Celebrate Fiesta German-style at Beethoven Halle and Garten with entertainment including the 50-piece Beethoven Concert Band, the Beethoven German Dance Band, and the Beethoven Big Band.
