The highly anticipated third annual Fashion & Flowers event, proudly presented by Jordan & Hess Co., is set to enchant spectators at 2 p.m. this Saturday, taking place in the vibrant setting of the square in front of the King Street store.

In preparation for the upcoming extravaganza, store manager Tina Hissam and fashion show director Candy Reid recently conducted their final round of model fittings, ensuring a seamless presentation of style and elegance.

Reflecting on the event’s evolution, Reid expressed enthusiasm for its growing popularity within the community. “We’re excited that this event is growing, getting stronger every year, and the community seems to look forward to it,” Reid remarked. “It’s a great way to break into spring. The weather has changed, and everybody is looking for something in their wardrobe, and if they don’t have it, I am certain they have it here at Jordan & Hess.”

The runway will showcase not only the exquisite designs from Jordan & Hess but also ensembles from esteemed fashion houses such as Westwood Charm, Nikki Visions Boutique, Grace Riane Bridals, and Dana’s Tuxedo.

“We have over 30 models, and we have other stores that are being represented — Grace Riane Bridals, Westwood Charm, and new this year is Nikki Visions Boutique,” Reid revealed. “All three stores are being featured in the show, along with Dana’s Tuxedo, who is providing formal wear for our men. New this year, also, is Jordan & Hess now has some men’s dress shirts, so we have a lot of ways now to feature our guys.”

Emphasizing this year’s color palette, Reid highlighted green as the standout shade. “Green is the color for spring, and we have a whole scene devoted to all shades of green. Another color that is popular is this burnt orange. That color is huge,” Reid elaborated.

Furthermore, statement pieces will take center stage, showcasing the season’s hottest trends, according to Hissam. “We have a lot of great statement pieces that are featuring the season’s hottest styles,” she affirmed.

In a touching gesture, the American Heart Association has been selected as the benefactor of this year’s event, a decision deeply rooted in personal significance for owner Anthony Hess.

“He lost his dad when he was in the second grade to a heart attack,” Hissam disclosed. “He wanted to do this in honor of his father.”

Reid further elaborated on the selection process for the event’s benefactor, noting the importance of aligning with causes that resonate with the local community. “Every year, we are looking for a nonprofit,” Reid explained. “We want something that the local community gets behind. We did Boys & Girls Club the first year, breast cancer awareness last year, so it just seemed fitting that this year, it would be the American Heart Association because that’s personal to Anthony.”

For those eager to attend, Jordan & Hess is conveniently located at 202 S. Queen St., at Martinsburg Town Square. Tickets are available for purchase individually at $30 or as a VIP table for eight for $300.
