The Kiwanis Club of Bloomington is holding its annual flower sale at the Shoppes at College Hills in Normal, offering a chance for Mother’s Day shoppers to support a good cause. This marks the 15th year of the fundraiser, which aims to raise funds to send kids to summer camp.
Running until Saturday, the sale features a variety of bouquets, flowers, and plants priced between $2 and $40. Co-chair Reid Butts emphasized the importance of raising funds for the children, stating, “We want to raise as much money as possible for the kids.”
According to Butts, the sale includes a diverse selection of plants, such as various tomato types, lemon grass, geraniums, hanging baskets, ferns, copas, and more.
Proceeds from the sale contribute to sending approximately 20 kids to Camp Limberlost at Lake Bloomington each year.
The flower sale continues on Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
