An unexpected bloom of parijat flowers at an ancient Hanuman temple in Lucknow is drawing significant attention. The rare phenomenon has captivated both locals and scientists, leaving many puzzled and in awe.
According to Local 18, the parijat tree, situated at the historic Hanuman temple in the Aliganj area, has begun to bloom unexpectedly. Typically, these flowers are expected to blossom in December. However, this year, the tree, which is only nine years old, has started flowering in July, much to the surprise of the local community.
Rajesh Pandey, the secretary of the temple committee, mentioned that even scientists are baffled by the tree’s untimely bloom. The tree’s unusual flowering is occurring despite weather conditions that are not conducive to its growth. The temple committee attributes this anomaly to the exceptional care the tree receives. Positioned near a lake, the tree benefits from devotees offering water to it as part of their worship rituals. The committee believes this consistent care, coupled with divine blessings from Lord Hanuman, has led to this miraculous event.
The blooming takes place around 9 PM, with the flowers appearing in a brilliant white hue. As the sun rises, the petals turn golden, only to begin withering by 10 AM. By evening, the flowers have completely wilted. This brief yet spectacular display has attracted devotees from distant places, all eager to witness the marvel firsthand.
Devotees often use the fallen parijat flowers to worship Goddess Lakshmi, adding a spiritual significance to the phenomenon.
The unseasonal bloom of the parijat flowers at the ancient Hanuman temple has not only become a local sensation but also a subject of scientific curiosity and religious wonder.
