Explore Semiwon Garden: A Lotus Wonderland by the Hangang River.

Semiwon Garden, located along the Hangang River about 90 minutes north of Pyeongtaek, offers a picturesque escape into nature. Covering 180,000 square meters, this botanical garden is renowned for its vibrant lotus flowers, which bloom from late June through early August. The best time to visit is during the first two weeks of July when the lotus flowers are at their peak.

The garden is ideal for families, especially those with young children who enjoy expansive, open spaces. To make the most of your visit and beat the heat, arrive at the garden right when it opens at 9 a.m. or later in the day around 5 p.m. Plan to spend one to two hours exploring the garden, admiring the life-size blooms, and discovering a variety of other plants.

Be sure to bring a fully charged camera as there are countless photo opportunities. Besides the beautiful gardens, Semiwon Garden also features a museum, an exhibition center, a learning experience center, and a café.
