Investigations are ongoing to determine the owner of a farm in the Tacilevu farming area, where over 400 plants suspected to be marijuana were seized yesterday.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, confirmed that the raid was carried out by the Savusavu Operations team as part of a wider mop-up effort targeting known drug cultivation areas.
ACP Driu emphasized that police operations are designed to apply pressure on the illicit drug trade from multiple angles. He noted that the focus extends beyond simply arresting individuals found with drugs, an approach that continues to yield results across all five policing divisions.
