Avianca Cargo has achieved a major milestone in its Valentine’s Day 2025 season, setting new records for flower shipments from Colombia and Ecuador to North America. To meet the growing demand, the airline doubled its regular capacity, focusing on on-time delivery, high-quality service, and efficient handling.
During the season, Avianca Cargo operated approximately 300 flights, moving around 18,000 tons of flowers to key destinations such as Miami and Los Angeles. The airline also made significant investments in infrastructure upgrades, digital projects, and increased its workforce by 30%, ensuring smooth operations throughout the busy period.
“Our team optimized logistics to ensure a seamless experience for our customers,” said Diogo Elias, Senior VP of Avianca Cargo. “We improved efficiency by reducing flower processing and delivery times by over 40% and 50%, respectively.
