The Pennsylvania Convention Center has once again been transformed into a vibrant floral wonderland, hosting the 196th annual Philadelphia Flower Show. This event has captivated photographers, garden enthusiasts, and fashion lovers alike, all eager to celebrate the arrival of spring.
For Wade Kirkpatrick and Susannah Foos, the Flower Show is a creative playground. Armed with a camera, Kirkpatrick captured Foos, in full pink body paint and a wig, embodying the Greek goddess Persephone.
For Foos, the Flower Show holds a deep personal connection: “My grandmother was a floral, botanical watercolorist, so I remember coming to the Flower Show when I was younger,” she shared.
This year’s show, themed Gardens of Tomorrow, showcases hundreds of exhibitors and a stunning array of floral art installations, prize-winning plants, and engaging workshops. Fashion also takes center stage, with visitors arriving in floral prints, crochet bags, and spring-inspired accessories.
For many, the Flower Show is more than just flowers — it’s about embracing new beginnings. Tanaiyah Dwyer, celebrating her 24th birthday, captured the essence of the event: “New beginnings and a fresh new outlook on life.”
Matt Rader, president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, emphasized the show’s primary goal: to provide a dazzling display of floral beauty, while inspiring attendees to dive into the joys of gardening.
The 2025 Philadelphia Flower Show runs from March 1-9, and tickets are available online. After 4 p.m., visitors can save $10 with Twilight Tickets!
