As Earth Day approaches, Mordecai Historic Park invites you to kickstart your herb, vegetable, and flower gardens with their annual Heirloom Plant Sale. This event is a haven for garden enthusiasts, offering a diverse selection of heirloom plants at unbeatable prices. All plants are lovingly nurtured from seed by the park’s skilled gardeners and include a wide variety of tomatoes, peppers, squash, herbs, and more.
Gardeners will be available to share their expertise and provide insights into the park’s gardens and grounds. Additionally, the Wake County Beekeepers Association and the Raleigh Garden Club will present engaging educational sessions on Saturday, April 26, at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively. These presentations will highlight local initiatives supporting Raleigh’s thriving plant life, making this event both a great shopping opportunity and a chance to support the community.
The sale will take place on both Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mordecai Visitor Center. Admission is free, and plants are available for purchase at affordable prices. For more information, call 919-996-4364.
