The Farwest Show 2023 has been a showcase of exceptional creativity, with exhibitors going above and beyond to create eye-catching and engaging booths that capture the essence of their offerings. Judges have been on the lookout for the most innovative displays and have awarded winners with the prestigious Ted Van Veen Best in Show booth awards. The event, hosted at the Oregon Convention Center in downtown Portland, Oregon, continues to impress attendees until its conclusion on Friday, August 25.
Amidst a sea of impressive displays, Youngblood Nursery Inc. of Salem, Oregon emerged as the winner of the coveted overall Best in Show booth award (Booth #18049). Their booth featured an array of tropicals, perennials, shrubs, grasses, and more, showcasing their diverse offerings to attendees. This honor also brings with it a remarkable prize: a complimentary 10×10 booth space for the 2024 Farwest Show.
Commenting on the exceptional level of creativity exhibited this year, Show Director Allan Niemi stated, “There were truly some amazing displays of creativity this year, and there was no shortage of competitive spirit.”
The Best of Division award winners further exemplified the commitment to excellence seen throughout the show. In the Grower category, Blooming Nursery of Cornelius, Oregon secured the Best 10×10 Booth award (Booth #19056), while Youngblood Nursery Inc. took home the Best 10×20 or Larger Row Booth award (Booth #18049). Monrovia of Azusa, California stood out with the Best Island Booth award (Booth #17037).
In the Service/Supply category, Mossify from Markham, Ontario, Canada clinched the Best 10×10 Booth award (Booth #21050), while Northwest Nursery Buyers Association of Welches, Oregon was honored with the Best 10×20 or Larger Row Booth award (Booth #14008). GK Machine Inc. of Donald, Oregon received the Best Island Booth award (Booth #14019).
Adding an extra layer of recognition to exhibitors who demonstrated exceptional creativity, the Far From Ordinary booth awards were bestowed upon Alpha Nursery of Salem, Oregon (Booth #18019), Bountiful Farms of Woodburn, Oregon (Booth #16037), and Leonard Adams Insurance Inc. of Portland, Oregon (Booth #13037).
